Holy Week @ FBC

This year at First Baptist Church, we will observe Holy Week beginning on April 2nd (Palm Sunday) with a musical performed by our choirs and led by Pastor Scott Shepherd. Later in the week on Wednesday night, April 5th, Pastor Mike will lead us in a Night of Reflection and how the events from this week are now a central element to our lives as Christians today. Then on April 6th, Maundy Thursday, we will have Lord's Supper and the service will begin at 7 pm. Sunday, April 9th is EASTER! We will have 3 services that day beginning with Sunrise Service @ 6:30 am at the 3 Crosses, then Worship at 9 & 10:30. All Sunday School classes will meet as usually scheduled.

Sunday, April 2- Palm Sunday (Matthew 21:10-11) "...This is Jesus the prophet, from Nazareth in Galilee."

Wednesday, April 5 (Luke 23:24) "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do."

  • Night of Reflection: Understanding Jesus' sacrificial love will enable us to love as He did.
  • Children's Classes - Will have 3 drama vignettes to help portray the Holy Week Events

Thursday, April 6 (1 Cor. 11:24) "This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me."

  • Maundy Thursday service, 7 pm

Sunday, April 9 - EASTER - Celebrate our Risen Lord, Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:3) "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,"

  • Sunrise Service: 6:30 am (at The 3 Crosses)
    • Worship Services: 9 & 10:30 am
